OFC Publications is pleased to announce the release of our newest songbook: The Music of Canoesongs. The CDs, Canoesongs Volumes 1 and 2, were conceived by James Raffin, current curator of the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough and all-round canoe guy. Both the CDs and this book have been brought to fruition by Paul Mills with James' direction. The book contains the music, words, some instrumental solos and tablature of all 27 songs from the 2 CDs as well as pictures, history, recipes, and canoe lore. At $24.95, you'll have a hard time getting more fun for your money. To celebrate the release of 'Music from Canoesongs', we're holding the world's first 'Canoe-b-que' in Wakefield, Quebec on June 3rd. We'll be hosting a day of canoeing on the Gatineau, a canoe demo by Becky Mason and Ian Tamblyn, a bar-b-que at Billy's Restaurant (attached to the Black Sheep) and a concert at the Black Sheep and a release at Hugh's Room, Toronto..
