Fully intonated and setup, this instrument is a dream to play. Professionals to even utter-ukulele-amateurs would have an easy time getting around on this very playable fingerboard. Folka Voca concertAnnouncing Folka Voca’s Benefit Concert! The show will feature performances by the Sunday Beatles Class, the Church of Disco, the Gentlemen’s Club and the Mexico Workshop Gang.
It’s being held at Sunnyside Wesleyan Church (58 Grosvenor Ave) Sunday June 1st at 7:00pm. Admission is $20 and all proceeds go to the Ottawa Humane Society.

Fretted instruments were first introduced to Hawaii by Portuguese immigrants in the nineteenth century and by the early twentieth century, the island variations of these instruments known as ukuleles began to make their way to the mainland United States.
